Amateur Night Goes to London!

The Apollo is partnering with London’s Hackney Empire for a transatlantic Amateur Night competition coinciding with the 2012 Summer Olympics. Producers will select talented contestants to compete during the special themed Amateur Night at the Apollo show on May 23rd, 2012 at 7:30pm.
The winners of this special themed show will then travel, all-expenses paid, to London to represent the Apollo Theater at “Live at the Empire & Apollo Amateur Night: Hackney vs. Harlem” in July 2012. Auditions for Amateur Night Goes To London will be held at the Apollo on March 31 and April 1, and winners will be featured as guest artists at Amateur Night on September 19.
